The
Romanian climate is generally characterized by hot summers and cold winters. Winter is cold and gray, with
snowfalls and frosts. Sometimes fog can form.
During cold spells, which occur every year, the temperature drops to -17/-18 °C
(0/1 °F) or below. Summer is
warm and sunny, though thunderstorms can break out in the afternoon. Nights are
usually cool. While it is generally not too hot, there can be very hot periods,
in which the temperature reach or exceed 35 °C (95 °F).
