I have used CANVA for video editing.

In my opinion it is the easiest app/website for it because it is user friendly and it provides good starting point for someone who hasn´t ever edited a video.

It also has variety of other options that are great for example group projects and presenting different topics.

  • Easy to add photos
  • Easy to add videos
  • Easy to find videos
  • Gives you some starting point
  • Many elements in your disposal
  • Works online perfectly so adding and inviting people is easy.
  • Free to access

Personally, I like InShot. The main reason behind this is that it is very user-friendly and intuitive in terms of usage. I have edited many videos previously and found it really easy in comparison to other video editing apps.

The onboarding or the tutorial before using the app is really helpful, especially if you are a first timer in video editing via apps. The feature icons present inside the editing dashboard is easy to understand and clear about its functionalities, which makes the app even awesome to use.
There are several features that contribute to the success of this app, but I personally like the music library which contains royalty-free music from various genres to choose from.

The outcome after editing the video is processed pretty fast and can be downloaded instantly. So whenever I am in hurry or require instant outputs, InShots provides the best solution.

I used adobe for video editing. It takes some time to learn about the program, due to its professionality but it is really accurate and after some time easy to use.

Adobe provides several turorials that lead you through the video editing process.

The negative point is that the costs for adobe is pretty high.

Personally, i havent used so much video editors or done much video editing. I have used Apples iMovie for basic editing like cutting for videos and adding music etc.

Its

  • Easy to use
  • User friendly
  • Quick editing
  • Easy to cut videos and add sounds
  • Movie-option for easy and basic video editing
  • Free

Also many different options for backgrounds, choosing pictures, adding own voice etc.

If you havent used any video editors or much, this could be one of those to start with.

I didn`t use many apps so far for video editing, since I don`t usually need to. I interacted though with apps such as Canva or InShot, but I prefer IMovie for the following reasons:

° Comfort, since it`s on my phone and I can add videos directly from my gallery

° Creativity, because they offer templates to be inspired by

°Accesibility

°Friendliness, since I apprieciate how easy and understandable the options are

For me I have recently discoverd IMove for Apple. Unfortunately is just for Apple users BUT it is very easy to use.
You are able to create a hole movie with sound, effects, fotos, little videos and text. Is simple. Of course it is not as professional as other apps but its for free.

My favourite app to edit videos is iMovie. Developed by apple, the app is already preinstalled in an iPhone or MacBook.

As a someone who records a lot of videos and like to put them together, I often use iMovie. I am using the app not only for my personal reasons but also for my university work. One of the biggest advantages in my opinion is that the app is there, and I do not need to transport my videos and photos from my phone or memory card to my computer. The videos and photos are already in my phone so I can just choose which videos I want to use and start working straight away. The app work on both phone and computer.

The app is simple to use in my opinion. It has many options such as cropping the videos, adding titles and text, speeding, or slowing down the videos. The app has special features like templates, or let the user choose whether they want to create a full movie or just a trailer.

My favourite app to use for video editing is CapCut. This app is great for both basic things such as cutting, adding text, music and so on and also for more professional things such as transitions, overlays, effects, retouchings, and more. It is extremely intuitive and has a lot of templates to make your job as easy as possible. There are various tutorials available for those looking to learn how to create their next masterpiece using CapCut. And the best part about it is that it is free. It is also very comfortable to use since you can do it easily on your phone since this is how most video content is consumed nowadays. You can even use it to animate photos. The possibilities are just endless with this app.

I actually don’t edit that much, but I have used iMovie by Apple a few times. Here’s why I recommend it especially for starters just like myself:

  • Very easy to use and get started with

  • Free for Apple users

  • Quick editing

  • Adjustable clips and option to add sound or music

  • Creative as they offer templates to use as foundation

I really don't have much experience with video editing but I did some research and my recommendation would be Clipchamp. It is easy to use and if you're only making quick videos you don't have to download an app since it is web-based service. from what I've seen it is easy to use and the UI is nice and intuitive. It is also free, so you don't have to pay which is always nice. It does have a paid plan as well but that is mostly for stock images etc. The essential video editing tools are available within the free plan.

I love video editing. At first I used Canva for it. Canva is user-friendly, easy for beginners and even offers royalty free background music. However, as I wanted to dig more deeper into video editing professionally, I am right now using Davinci Ressolve. It has so much more functions than Canva, and therefore it is more confusing. However I absolutely love the color grading function as it brings out better quality of video.

I do not have much experience to share about video editing, and this is an opportunity for myself to discover new apps and try to create a new kind of content. Untill now, for short projects I have been using: Canva, inShot, iMovie, and even apps as TikTok or Zoom.

Canva - the easiest app for creating a slide show. You can design anything! Create videos for a presentation, instagram stories, vlogs, unsual birthday cards, literally any kind of stuff you need for school or personal use. You can add photos, videos, text, music, records, cliparts. You can choose a predefined design or start from scratch, and save your personal authentic designs as templates to use later or share with friends.

inShot - the first video editing app I used. Yes, Canva is an amazing tool, but if you need more precise cut it is easier to use inShot, which includes all the features I mentioned above while describing Canva. Also I found inShot app friendly to provide subtitles for a video (but you still have to do it manually).

iMovie - since I am an iOS user, I tried to edit short videos in iMovie. The biggest perk for me using this app is that the quality of your photo/ video materials is not getting worse, as you don't have to import them.

TikTok - for short slide shows for my instagram stories, I used TikTok. It might be not a pretty good app for video editing, as it doesn't have too many features, but it can be helpful when you don't have to create a difficult project and you don't have too much time for editing.

Zoom - for tutorial videos I tried to use Zoom. I like to use apps for things they were not predesigned for :)) It is easy to use Zoom for recording your work on your pc. Also you can easily make a group project, as we did with my #Confident team.

For video editing I preferably use Canva or Adobe Premiere Pro. Canva is definitely a more user-friendly option of these two and I use it in almost every project. Canva is a free option and compared to Adobe it is faster to use in my opinion. Canva has plenty of cool templates and effects built in and the intuitivity of the software is very high. When comparing to Adobe, The price is a big difference. Adobe is for more professional use and better for creating longer and more personalized videos. I don't have an on-going subscription for Adobe, althought I highly recommend it if your standards for video editing software are high. Otherwise, go with Canva.
