​The university's biggest library is situated close to the university, namely the Central University Library, which hosts over 2,5 million books from all fields and activities, with a number of over 30 000 new books per year to the library patrimony. Every faculty has its own specialized library where students can find more specific titles as well as best sellers who helped previous generations in their academic and research development.​

​As a student at UAIC, you have several benefits ensured by your student position, such as: cheap prices on tourist attractions, cheaper tickets for opera, theatres, cinemas. You can get easy access to different Erasmus projects and local internships based on your academic profile. Also you pay less for the public transport tickets and subscription, while you want to explore the city.​

​UAIC has 6 Campuses, which are divided in dorms. That being said, we have „Titu Maiorescu" with C5, C6, C7, C8 as dorms, „Codrescu" with C11, C12, C13, „Târgușor-Copou" with C1, C2, C3, C4, and „Gaudeamus", „Akademos" and „Buna Vestire".​

​UAIC has 9 buildings, which are labeled by letters instead of numbers. So we have: A, B, C, D, G, H, I, J, R.​

Yes, some faculties have specializations in which you can study a foreign language such as German, Spanish, Italian, etc. but you also have the possibility to complete a course within the Faculty of Letters where you have several options.

The academic year generally starts around October 1st. Classes run until mid January, immediately followed by a 2-week period of examinations. The 2nd semester starts around mid-February and classes run until end of May. Summer exams are usually scheduled during the first two weeks of June.

​Alexandru Ioan Cuza University has its own Sports Centre (volley-ball, gymnastics, basketball, handball, fitness) and outdoor sport grounds (handball, basketball, football): 3 Toma Cozma Str., Building D of the University, underground floor.

There are also many possibilities in the city to do sport activities (aerobics, swimming, sauna, massage, fitness private clubs, skiing on Copou Hill in winter time, etc.).

​Students can cook their own meals (Gaudeamus Centre for International Exchanges offers facilities for cooking) or eat at the university student cafeteria (Titu Maiorescu Canteen). This cafeteria is situated in Titu Maiorescu Campus, near the main University building.

Students can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at about 10 Euro at the student canteen.

There are also other pizzerias and restaurants in the area (including Gaudeamus Restaurant), where prices are a little higher.
